Full of fun and some great surprises!

Yvonne Straus' book is a little jewel and a delight. Her stories are written in her unique voice with a combination of sincerity, poetry and her own individualized use of English, her second language. Some of the stories are light and funny, others carry you along and then surprise you with an ending that leaves you pondering the ways we all relate to each other, the choices we make in life. The illustrations, too, are fun and unique. This is the kind of book I like to pick up and read a selection here, a selection there. I always find something to satisfy the moment.
