About the Author
Linda Ananda MSc, DipM, DipCD, DipYT, DipHypCS, LHS, ATH is a therapeutic healer and teacher of dance, yoga and practical philosophy. Her journey has led her through an exploration of eastern and western wisdom and movement practices to a destination of presence, connection and blissful peace. Linda lives in Devon with her two children, Oscar and Jonah. Gavin Frank is a Voice Facilitator, Singer and Musician. His background stems from choirboy to BA-Hons Music Degree through to Naked Voice training. He has 12 yrs voice experience; empowering people to express the full resonance and depth of their own voice. Gavin performs and records in the duo Madrum.

rainbow children ~ magical moving stories, is a gift for our universe! Rainbow Children, celebrates the child in all of us. The stories are reminiscent of childhood storytelling that may be shared at the hearth of ones sacred space, or around a cozy campfire, and yet the book invites you to move with yoga movements and dance that nurture mind-body and soul with each story, thus integrating Gavin Franks musical CD is a piece of manifestation that soothes and warms the heart of any child. A book for educators in any setting whether school or home, yoga studios, small workshop venues, birthday parties, children's camps, any event where there are children, Rainbow Children is a sacred moment of giving the gift to our children and ourselves in an equal exchange of energy shared in magical moving stories that touch the heart.
What I liked in whole of the book: The stories are short enough to be read at any time, the instructions are easy to follow, the accompanied poses/movement/dance are easy to understand and do physically for any child and could easily be modified for a special needs individual, the illustrations are drawn by children for children with colorful hues that are soothing, creating a sense of peacefulness if perhaps one may want to just read the stories, the words are easy reader even for a young child, the musical CD by Gavin Frank, could also be listened to solo, his voice gives way to not only affirm and move, yet listened to at bedtime might lullaby one gently into peaceful slumber, all the elements of this book create a sense of altruism.
Having worked with children most all my life in a myriad of settings, I can assure you Rainbow Children, is a fundamental resource that inspires, initiates, involves, a new world for the new dawn of children that gift us and our earth in this evolution that is awakening within us all in this time of transformation. prompts my own imagination

I got this for my granddaughters--3 & 19 months old. They are very different--1 very active, the other, contemplative. This worked for both of them. The 3 yr old loved the postures, the younger one loved the pictures. I can see this as a great tool to help them grow up mindfully--& having fun with it!! I even had fun showing the postures to them!! I gave it only 4 stars because it needs some interpretation with the symbols but then--what fun! I can see how this could be great fun in a group/classroom setting. We shall see how my granddaughters grow into this.
