Such A Disappointment

This book is one of the many reasons why I generally read reviews before trying out new artists. Shioban has to be the weakest and dumbest female character I have ever read about. In what world is it ok for your husband to continually cheat on you and you know about it and accept it just as long as he doesn't give them his heart. I only made it to 62% completion and had to let it go, it was draining me literally. There was no character development, just this man constantly cheating on his wife repeatedly and them having sex whenever she threatened to leave. Shioban was supposed to be this bad bish but this is definitely not bad bish behavior.

The book has potential to be a great read, but at the end of the book, there seem to be a few unanswered questions. The only real conversation that seem to take place in the entire book was as the end between Evan and Siobian, when she has had enough. All other conversation ended in sex. Anger, fuss, & fight, let's have to make it all better. That was the only time you didn't sex at the end of a conversation...real feeling and emotions were displayed.

Evan and Chrissy was a joke. Why did it take his wife to leave, for me to realize this girl didn't want him. What happened to Evan and Chrissy. The wife was out of the picture, what happened to them? I can see Evan not wanting to be with her after the baby,&Siobian leaving, but after everything Chrissy did to be the next Mrs. Rizzo, what happened? Why did she give up on making Evan hers only? We never saw the end of their relationship/ or whatever they had going. But I would read part 2, just to see how this ends.

No & no! Choose something else even though this is free with Kindle Unlimited. I'm still not sure of the nationality of the character although the book cover has Black people on it. lol. Just a poor substitution for a good book.

The book was very fun to read but my copy was horribly abused. Besides that, it is really interesting and I won't ruin the poem~ Read the summary to know what the base of the poem is. It is about two birds arguing. It can get annoying at times but when your finish really thing about it. Our class discussion in class was interesting. Who REALLY won at the end?

Most Hindu youngsters who grow up in the Western hemisphere undergo a gradual attrition of knowledge regarding their own hoary customs and traditions. Ms. Shubha Subbarao has done an outstanding job in fulfilling a very important need of the South Indian Hindu diaspora in English speaking countries by writing this book. Her book very adequately answers any, and all, questions one may have regarding Hindu wedding ceremonies and the significance of various rituals and traditions associated with it.
This book is very well written. It is also full of beautiful illustrations taken from, several different, real life Hindu wedding ceremonies. Ms Subbarao's book is a must read for couples who are on the threshold of getting married but do not know much about their own traditions & customs. It also makes a great gift item for engagement ceremonies.

Thorough, clear information for a non-Hindu

When I picked up this book I had no knowledge of the traditions and symbolism of Hindu weddings. The author explains each part of the preparations and actual wedding in an easy-to-understand way which uncomplicates a fairly complicated social event. As a Western Christian I especially enjoyed the commonalities between Hinduism and other religions. If I were planning a Hindu wedding in America I would especially appreciate Shubha's advice on where to buy food and wedding articles and the use of the Internet to help make the planning easier.

Reconnecting

Having had the good fortune of reading the complete selection of Dr. Luciani's books on self coaching, I had no doubt "Reconnecting" would be one of his finest works. And of course I was delighted to discover this was true. Like all of Luciani's books, they are amazingly easy to read and quite difficult to put down. I couldn't wait for the release of his new book, nor could I not read the whole book as soon as it arrived in the mail. In my marriage of over 17 years, I felt my spouse and I had a "pretty good" relationship. Alas! Joseph Luciani, in his new book, addressed many things about that relationship that I either had forgotten, didn't know, or through complacency, became indifferent. And like all Luciani's books, he incorporates a few simple worksheets, and simple self quizzes throughout, to better help vizualize, in concrete fashion, where certain areas of my behavior have allowed my relationship to become stale, old, and, at times boring. Luciani's metaphorical approach and brilliant connectivity of the emotional and physical balance necessary in order to achieve a successful relationship of any kind, was particularly gratifying, and I suggest that if you read "Reconnecting" before, during, or after any relationship, you will benefit profoundly. It is a must read.

In doing so, it provides a critical account of the emergence of heritage studies as an interdisciplinary field of academic study. This is presented as part of a broader examination of the function of heritage in late modern societies, with a particular focus on the changes which have resulted from the globalisation of heritage during the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.

Developing new theoretical approaches and innovative models for more dialogically democratic heritage decision making processes, Heritage: Critical Approaches unravels the relationship between heritage and the experience of late modernity, whilst reorienting heritage so that it might be more productively connected with other pressing social, economic, political and environmental issues of our time.

Rodney Harrison is a Lecturer in Museum and Heritage Studies at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. He has a broad range of experience teaching, researching and working across the fields of cultural and natural heritage management in the UK, Australia and North America. Prior to his current position, he worked for the Open University, where he was responsible for teaching, research and public broadcasting in global heritage studies.
