Engaging and sexy read!

I haven't got around to reading all the stories in this anthology but the story I read by Ann Greche - 'A Christmas Wish Come True' is fantastic. Ann manages to successfully weave emotion with hot sex scenes the whole way through. Every part of the story, from one event to the next was seemless, engaging. I love the bond between both Declan and Ollie, and how they'd both loved each other as more than stepbrothers but neither knew it for so many years. And the opening scenes were fantastic! Well actually all the scenes were. I also love the inner struggle we see in Declan about being a gay man and his fears due to the stigma attached about being gay and his worry that he wouldn't be accepted by those he loved. We could really feel his angst, understand his emotional struggles. Ann gets into the psyche of not only a male but a gay male really well in my opinion and the way she describes Declan's thoughts and actions to me is really believable.
I also loved how the story had equal amounts of love mixed with lustful sex. It was very effective and added to the appeal of the story.
There was a bit of everything in this story - emotion, hot sex scenes, great imagery, good insight, engaging storyline and relatable, believable and loveable characters. I wanted more of Declan and Ollie and can't wait to read Ann's next book!

I have previously read and reviewed two of Katherine May's other books and was delighted when I was given this ARC.
Ariana Gilbert is your typical "Ugly Duckling". She was a complete and total nerd in high school, with bad hair, no chest and lets not get started on her clothes but what a difference a few years can do. After graduating from law school and deciding that the family business was not where she saw herself, Ari soon lands a job working for her high school crush, Jude Shepard. But with his horrible attitude and his blatant ignorance to who she is, Ari decides that her main mission is to help Mr. Shepard loosen up. But how? With his horrible attitude and his disdain for the upcoming holidays, what can she do to make him happy?
Jude Shepard had everything in high school, good looks, the pretty high school girlfriend, popular friends but what he didn't have was the love from his father. Yes his grandfather left him the family business when he died but the last person Jude wanted to become was someone like his horrible father. However with the mounting pressure of running a multi million dollar oil business, Jude is loosing his battle. That is until his 11th secretary/personal assistant walks in the door. He is captivated by her looks and can't seem to get her off his mind. But with a upcoming trip to Miami, will Jude be able to keep his distance?
This is a quick read that will leave you smiling at the end. My only complaint is that it ended to quickly, I wanted to hear more about Jude and Ari. I wanted Jude to Woo her but I understand that with a box set the author had to keep the story short and sweet.

tender yet spicy fantasy you don't want to miss

What do you do when a loving but broken-hearted mother has lost her love for Christmas? You set her up with a love so true, so intense, and so resolute that even her anger and distrust can’t deter. Then you allow that love to show her everything that she has missed out on, but that is now within her grasp.
